California Raisin Industry ships 20,000 tons of raisins to Japan.

1962

The Raisin Administrative Committee and Japan Dried Fruit Importers Association hold its first meeting in Japan.  The RAC sent its delegation to meet with JDFIA and its then chairman Mr. K. Hashimoto.

1949

USDA established the Raisin Administrative Committee after 83% vote by raisin growers.

1964

New Sun-Maid Kingsburg plant opens after three years of construction. Covering 73 acres, it is voted one of Americas top new plants by Factory Magazine.

1960

Raisin Administrative Committee begin marketing effort with the U.S. Wheat Association in Japan.
